Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has called on all Field Commanders to maintain high levels of professionalism and respect for human rights in their duties.
According to National PRO, NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja CSC Babawale Zaid Afolabi, in a keynote address at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja, CG Audi underscored that his administration will not tolerate any actions that undermine the Corps’ ethical values or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He stressed that all formations will be closely monitored, with severe sanctions for any violations of the rules of engagement.
During the opening of a 5-day training course aimed at enhancing leadership skills and strategic capabilities, Dr. Audi highlighted the importance of professionalism and exemplary conduct in challenging situations. He urged Field Commanders to demonstrate the highest levels of civility and respect for citizens’ fundamental rights.

The NSCDC Chief reiterated his administration’s commitment to leveraging personnel training and retraining to strengthen the Corps’ ability to fulfill its statutory mandate. He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for their support.
Assistant Commandant General for Training and Manpower, ACG Lawal Muktar, encouraged participants to focus on strategic thinking, situational awareness, and decision-making skills essential for their roles.
The training, which included over 200 participants from the 36 state commands and the Federal Capital Territory, aims to equip them with the necessary techniques for effective duty execution.
