The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted allegations that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, sidelined APC youths in Warri Federal Constituency during a recent training program.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its publicity secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party dismissed the claims as baseless, asserting that those making the accusations were not recognized members of the APC.
“These fallacious claims, widely circulated on social media by individuals posing as APC members, are misleading and fail to acknowledge the transparent selection process for the training program,” the statement read.
The APC clarified that the training initiative was designed for both youths and the elderly across the state’s ethnic groups. It emphasized that participant nominations were made through ethnic leadership structures, with approvals from HRM Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, for the Itsekiri, Olorogun Ese Gam Owe for the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), and Prof. Chris Akpotu for the Isoko Development Union (IDU).
The party reaffirmed its support for Engr. Ogbe, commending his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda of national growth, job creation, and youth empowerment. It described his leadership at NCDMB as instrumental in promoting inclusivity in the oil and gas sector.
Delta APC further urged detractors to desist from divisive rhetoric, reaffirming its dedication to policies that benefit all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation.
“We stand firmly with Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, who has remained focused on fostering unity and creating opportunities for all, in alignment with the APC-led Federal Government’s vision for national development,” the statement concluded.
