Edo Tribunal Judgment: Governor Okpebholo calls for unity, peace

As the Edo State Election Tribunal prepares to deliver its judgment on Wednesday, Governor Monday Okpebholo has called for calm, urging residents and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to uphold peace and unity.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Owaen Fred Itua, the governor emphasized the importance of respecting the legal process and maintaining stability in the state.

“We have witnessed a vibrant and competitive electoral process, and I respect the legal avenues available to all parties. The tribunal’s decision is a crucial part of our democratic system, and we must all respect its authority,” Okpebholo stated.

Reaffirming his commitment to Edo State’s progress, he urged political and community leaders to promote unity and avoid misinformation.

“I have full confidence in our judiciary and its ability to deliver a fair and just judgment. I also trust in the resilience and maturity of our people. Let us demonstrate our commitment to democracy, peace, and development,” he added.

Governor Okpebholo called on all citizens to remain law-abiding and work together for the state’s growth, regardless of political differences.
