In a major operation targeting cybercrime, the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has successfully apprehended 32 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud. The operation took place in simultaneous sting operations conducted in Awka, Anambra State, and Enugu Township, Enugu State.
The suspects, whose identities have been disclosed, include:

The EFCC’s coordinated operation was executed based on credible intelligence regarding the suspects’ alleged involvement in various internet-related criminal activities.
As a result of the arrests, law enforcement authorities recovered several items from the suspects. These included mobile phones, laptops, and two automobiles: a Lexus ES 350 and a Lexus RX 330.
The EFCC remains committed to combating cybercrime and ensuring that individuals involved in fraudulent activities are brought to justice. The arrested individuals will face legal proceedings as the investigation into their alleged internet fraud activities continues.
