Operatives from the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 127 suspected internet fraudsters. The suspects were detained during an early morning raid on a “Yahoo Party” at Signature and Abah Clubs on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
The sting operation was conducted based on credible intelligence, revealing that the party, initially planned for Wednesday, June 5, 2024, had been rescheduled to Saturday to evade EFCC surveillance.
The suspects have provided valuable information to investigators. Items seized during the raid include ten exotic cars, phones, laptops, a motorcycle, wristwatches, and numerous incriminating documents. They will face charges once investigations are completed.
