EFCC arrests Gavice Logistics CEO over alleged ₦2bn ponzi scheme

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Mr. Ahamba Tochukwu, Chief Executive Officer of Gavice Logistics Limited, for allegedly operating a fraudulent investment scheme that defrauded hundreds of investors of over ₦2 billion.

According to EFCC investigators, Tochukwu lured investors with promises of a 50 percent return on investment through his company’s purported haulage, courier, and e-commerce ventures. More than 400 individuals reportedly subscribed to the scheme but were unable to recover their funds after the suspect allegedly disappeared in November 2024.

EFCC operatives eventually tracked him down, and he is currently being interrogated over the alleged Ponzi scheme.

The Commission has advised the public to exercise caution and avoid patronizing unverified investment platforms to prevent falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
