The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, in collaboration with the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, officiated the formal inauguration of the new office complex for the Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC earlier Thursday December 21st 2023.
The auspicious event, marked by a ceremonial commissioning, was attended by esteemed dignitaries including the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Malam Abdulralman Abdulrasaq; Chief Judge of Kwara State, Hon. Justice Abiodun Adebara; Comptroller of Nigeria Correctional Service, Adebayo Oyun; Director, Public Affairs Department, DCE Wilson Uwujaren; S.A to the Minister of Justice, Rotimi Oyedepo, SAN; and Ilorin Zonal Commander, Michael Nzekwe.
Adding to the illustrious guest list were the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alh. Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; a prominent Nigerian Industrialist and the Jagunmolu of Igbaja, Alhaji Abdulraheem Oladimeji; as well as the Vice Chancellor of Alhikma University, Prof Noah Yusuf.
The commissioning ceremony was a vibrant affair, graced by the presence of key figures from the legal, political, and academic spheres. Prince Lateef Fagbemi and Mr. Ola Olukoyede jointly unveiled the new state-of-the-art facility, emphasizing its strategic significance in the EFCC’s relentless efforts to combat financial crimes in the Ilorin Zonal Command’s jurisdiction.
