The Great Ife Alumni Association has elected a new set of global officers to lead the association for the next two years, with Barrister Leye Bunmi Falode emerging as the Global President.
In a statement, Global Publicity Secretary Abdur-Rahman Balogun said the elections took place during the association’s 26th Biennial Convention held at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, drawing delegates from across Nigeria and the diaspora for the three-day event.
Falode, a seasoned lawyer and public servant, holds multiple degrees from OAU including a Bachelor of Education in History (1989), Master of Public Administration, LL.B (2002), and LL.M (2012). Called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008, he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law. He is also the Principal Partner at L.B. Falode & Co. and CEO of El Bee Grandeur Hotel and Lounge, Osogbo.
Before his election, Falode served the association in various capacities, including as Chairman of the Osogbo Branch (2016–2020), Vice President (South West), and Chairman of the Convention Organising Committee.
