Speaking at a sensitization program organized by the NIS Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit in collaboration with the ICPC, Barrister Lawal emphasized the importance of these values in mitigating corruption and improving service efficiency. He highlighted that NIS officers, as the face of the Service, must fully understand their roles.

The Comptroller of Immigration for Adamawa State Command, Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, echoed this sentiment, urging NIS staff to reject corruption and serve with dedication and loyalty while providing quality service to the public. Mr. Mohammed stressed the necessity of utilizing technology and demonstrating personal integrity and transparency in performing their duties to reduce corruption and enhance service delivery.
The event was attended by 200 participants, including officers and men of the Nigeria Immigration Service, ICPC, and other invited guests.
