IGP appoints AIG Fom as new force secretary

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Fom Pam Joseph as the new Force Secretary of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a more effective and transparent policing system. The statement emphasized that AIG Fom’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the administrative framework of the force, ensuring seamless operations at the highest levels of police leadership.

Adejobi said the appointment follows the elevation of the former Force Secretary, AIG Adetutu Rhoda Olofu, to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG). AIG Fom, a highly experienced and decorated officer, assumes this strategic role as part of the IGP’s commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency and professional excellence within the force.

AIG Fom brings a wealth of experience and an outstanding track record to his new position. Prior to this appointment, he served as the AIG in charge of the Department of Finance & Administration at Force Headquarters, Abuja. His career spans multiple high-profile roles, including his tenure as the Commissioner of Police overseeing Homicide Investigations at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja.

Over the years, AIG Fom has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic decision-making, and dedication to police reforms. His expertise in financial administration and criminal investigations has earned him respect within the force and among stakeholders in the security sector.
