The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has directed immediate training in public relations, human relations, and communication for the 10,000 recruits currently undergoing training across the 17 police training institutions nationwide. The initiative is part of efforts to enhance professionalism and improve service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.
The IGP instructed the Force Public Relations Department to design a comprehensive course outline to ensure the recruits develop a strong understanding of these essential skills. The goal is to foster a culture of effective communication and human relations among officers, equipping them to better serve the public.
Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the directive, emphasizing that these new intakes will be trained to embody the principles of public relations and effective communication as a core part of their duties. The training is expected to contribute significantly to the overall efficiency and quality of service delivery within the Force.
