Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola CON, acting on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the commencement of the 43rd Annual Conference and 18th Managing Director’s Roundtable organized by the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) in Lagos, Nigeria, engaged in discussions with a United States delegation. This meeting marks a significant step forward in the ongoing dialogue between the two nations.
The United States delegation included the U.S. Consul General, Will Stevens, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Business and Economic Affairs, Ramin Toloui, and Michael Ervin. The meeting followed two prior interactions between the Nigerian and U.S. delegations, underlining the commitment of both parties to fostering collaboration in the sphere of Marine and Blue Economy.

During the deliberations, both sides revisited the outcomes of previous meetings and expressed their intention to convene in the near future to formalize specific areas of cooperation, partnerships, and joint initiatives.
