NAF C-130 arrives safely in Portugal for scheduled maintenance

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the safe arrival of its C-130 aircraft, NAF 913, at the OGMA maintenance facility in Lisbon, Portugal, for scheduled depot-level maintenance.

The confirmation was conveyed in a statement signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force.

According to the NAF, the ferry flight was successfully completed in line with an updated flight plan and established aviation safety procedures. The aircraft transited through Banjul, The Gambia, and Casablanca, Morocco, before arriving in Lisbon without incident, marking the final phase of the deployment for the planned maintenance programme.

All crew members arrived safely and are reported to be in high spirits. The Nigerian Air Force expressed appreciation to the host authorities in the transit and destination countries for their cooperation and support throughout the operation.

The NAF reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational accountability in all its activities.
