The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its counter-terrorism operations, destroying multiple terrorist structures in the Mandara Mountains during a precision air strike.
The operation, carried out by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, took place on April 27, 2026, at Guduf, a known insurgent enclave within the mountainous region.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, the strike followed credible intelligence supported by confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, which identified terrorist structures and logistics hubs actively supporting insurgent activities.
NAF air assets subsequently executed a coordinated Air Interdiction operation, targeting and neutralising hostile elements and their infrastructure with precision.
The statement noted that the operation was conducted in strict adherence to established rules of engagement, with due consideration for civilian safety and environmental protection.
“The strike led to the destruction of key terrorist structures and logistics facilities, significantly degrading the operational capability of the insurgents,” Ejodame said.
He added that the successful mission underscores the Air Force’s sustained efforts to deny terrorist groups freedom of movement and reinforce national security.
The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining operational pressure on insurgents while safeguarding civilian populations, as part of broader efforts to restore peace and stability in affected regions.
