NAF, NDLEA deepen partnership to combat drug threats and bolster security

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration to address drug-related threats and enhance national security.

This was the outcome of a recent courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Intelligence, Air Vice Marshal Dalhat Ladan, who represented the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, to the NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja. During the visit, AVM Ladan conveyed the Air Chief’s warm regards and reiterated NAF’s readiness to support the NDLEA through intelligence sharing, joint operations, and capacity-building initiatives.

The meeting with NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), focused on the growing link between drug trafficking and security threats across the country. Both agencies agreed on the need for a united front to dismantle drug networks and mitigate their impact on public safety and national development.

The renewed collaboration supports the Federal Government’s broader security objectives and reflects NAF’s whole-of-society approach to national development. It also reinforces the Air Force’s commitment to protecting citizens, supporting law enforcement agencies, and promoting a secure and drug-free Nigeria.
