Rear Admiral Istifanus Albara, the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) of the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of Operation Delta Safe (OPDS) in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State. He was warmly received by Rear Admiral JU Okeke, the Commander of OPDS.
During the visit, Rear Admiral Albara informed the OPDS Commander about the strategic relocation of NAVTRAC Headquarters from Lagos to Ebubu, Port Harcourt, in Rivers State. He highlighted that NAVTRAC serves as a premier training center for the Nigerian Navy, housing 14 professional schools that specialize in various aspects of naval training and education.
Rear Admiral Okeke expressed his delight at the FOC NAVTRAC’s visit, noting the significance of such interactions in fostering a stronger working relationship between NAVTRAC and OPDS. He emphasized that enhanced cooperation between the two commands would greatly benefit their operational effectiveness and readiness.
