The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has announced a public consultation to address the growing concerns over frequent power grid disturbances that have resulted in outages across several states.
In a statement, NERC management said the meeting, mandated by Section 48(1) of the Electricity Act 2023 (Amended), aims to engage stakeholders from the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI), civil society organizations, and the general public in finding solutions to enhance grid stability.
The statement added that the hearing is scheduled for Thursday, 24th October 2024, at 10:00 AM, at NERC’s Hearing Room, Fourth Floor, Plot 1387, Cadastral Zone A00, Central Business District, Abuja.
