The Nigerian Navy has intensified its security operations, leading to the interception of drug traffickers, the rescue of kidnapped victims, and the dismantling of an illegal oil refining site in recent operations across multiple states.
On March 29, 2025, personnel of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ibaka apprehended three suspected drug peddlers in possession of a significant quantity of Indian hemp in Ibaka, Mbo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. The suspects are currently in custody and will be transferred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.

In a separate operation on March 28, 2025, operatives of FOB Bonny successfully rescued 15 kidnapped victims from a market boat near Opuadakiri Community, Rivers State.
