The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a revised pricing structure for its range of identity management services, marking the first adjustment in a decade.
The updated fees apply to services such as data modifications—including changes to date of birth, name, address, and phone number—Diaspora enrolment, and identity verification, among others.
In a statement issued Thursday, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC, said the price review aligns with current operational costs and industry standards. “The revised pricing structure aims to maintain the quality and integrity of NIMC’s services while ensuring affordability and accessibility for Nigerians,” Adegoke stated. The new fees take effect immediately.
NIMC has directed all licensed Front-End Partners (FEPs) to comply strictly with the new rates, warning that violators will face sanctions, including possible license revocation.
Adegoke assured the public of the Commission’s commitment to fair and transparent service delivery. Details of the revised pricing will be published on NIMC’s official website, www.nimc.gov.ng.
The Commission also encouraged Nigerians to report any FEP charging above the approved rates to its Inspectorate and Enforcement Unit via ieu@nimc.gov.ng or by calling 0815 501 5388.
NIMC’s Director General/CEO, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, expressed gratitude to Nigerians, partner agencies, and stakeholders for their continued support. She also acknowledged the backing of President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the NIMC team in advancing a robust national identity system.
