The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced the appointment of two senior executives, Mr. Andy Odeh and Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi, to strategic leadership positions.
Mr. Odeh assumes the role of Chief Corporate Communications Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in communications and business administration across the oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting sectors. Before joining NNPC, he had a distinguished 26-year career with Nigeria LNG (NLNG), where he held senior roles in external relations, sustainable development, corporate communications, and regulatory compliance. Notably, he led NLNG’s rebranding, pioneered a widely acclaimed micro-credit scheme for host communities, and instituted the NLNG Prize for Energy Reporting.
Mrs. Adewunmi, a legal professional with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, has been appointed Chief Relations Officer. She spent much of her career with the Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCIN), where she managed regulatory affairs, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. She is recognised for her expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments, safeguarding operational licenses, and building strong institutional relationships.
NNPC Ltd. stated that the appointments underscore its commitment to strengthening corporate communications and deepening stakeholder engagement.
