NNPC Ltd. offers condolences to victims of Suleja tanker explosion

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has extended its heartfelt condolences to the victims of the tragic petrol tanker explosion at Dikko-Maje Junction along the Abuja-Kaduna Road in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State.

In a statement, Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd said the devastating incident, which occurred on Saturday, resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries as individuals attempted to scoop fuel from a fallen tanker.

During a condolence visit to the General Hospital in Sabon Wuse, NNPC Ltd’s Executive Vice President of Downstream, Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi, expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives. He offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased and wished the injured a swift recovery.

Mr. Abdullahi urged the public to exercise caution and avoid approaching fallen petrol tankers to prevent future tragedies. He reaffirmed NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to public safety and its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the dangers associated with fuel-related accidents.

Soneye reiterated the company’s dedication to the safety and well-being of all Nigerians.
