The Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Paradigm News International, Mr. Raymond Enoch, has paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Internal Services of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Dr. Habibu Yaya Bappah, at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja.

The visit, described as a gesture of goodwill and strategic alignment, was aimed at congratulating Dr. Bappah on his recent appointment and reaffirming support for his mandate to strengthen institutional integrity, transparency, and citizen-focused service delivery across the sub-region.

Speaking during the engagement, Mr. Enoch reaffirmed Paradigm News International’s commitment to responsible journalism, ethical reporting, and fact-based storytelling that promotes regional integration and sustainable development. He stressed the growing need to counter misinformation and disinformation, noting that credible media institutions play a critical role in democratic consolidation and public accountability.

“As a regional media institution, we remain committed to telling the ECOWAS story with integrity—building trust, amplifying citizen voices, and promoting regional solidarity in line with ECOWAS Vision 2050,” Enoch said.

He also expressed appreciation to the ECOWAS Commission for recognising the media as a strategic stakeholder, recalling his experience as an ECOWAS Excellence Award recipient, which he described as a lasting motivation to uphold high standards in public communication.

In his response, Dr. Bappah welcomed the visit and commended Paradigm News International for its consistent coverage of ECOWAS programmes and activities. He reiterated the Commission’s openness to constructive engagement with the media and indicated that opportunities for collaboration would be explored, particularly in public outreach, citizen engagement, and the promotion of regional values.

The meeting underscored the growing partnership between ECOWAS and credible media organisations in advancing transparency, inclusive governance, and regional resilience across West Africa.
