In an official statement PDP National Publicity Secretary Hon. Debo Ologunagba said the late Governor, renowned for his courage, amiability, legal acumen, and exceptional administrative prowess, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and commitment to national unity and development.
Governor Akeredolu, as noted by the PDP, was not only a brilliant lawyer but also an outstanding administrator who played pivotal roles in advancing the cause of unity, stability, and development within the nation. The party acknowledged his deep understanding and capacity for leadership, emphasizing the irreplaceable void his passing has created on the national stage.
The late Governor’s advocacy for fairness, equity, and justice in national affairs was highlighted by the PDP. Akeredolu’s unwavering commitment to true federalism, as well as his vocal stance in defending and protecting ethnic nationalities, was recognized as a cornerstone for peace and development in the country.
Describing Governor Akeredolu as an “unrepentant fighter” for the aforementioned values, the PDP extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, particularly Governor Akeredolu’s widow, Betty Akeredolu, and his children.
