PDP urges peaceful resolution of disagreements in Rivers

In a statement released today, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a call for all parties involved in the ongoing disagreements within Rivers State to put down their metaphorical swords and pursue a peaceful and amicable resolution of the prevailing issues.

The NWC has appealed to PDP members and supporters to maintain calm and confidence in the party’s ability to address the contentious matters by invoking its internal conflict resolution mechanisms. The committee is actively engaged in the process of tackling and resolving areas of disagreement.

The NWC has implored all leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the PDP in Rivers State to unite and collaborate harmoniously, with a renewed focus on the paramount responsibilities of governance and the delivery of democratic benefits to the citizens.

In a statement signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, the party has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering peace and unity within the ranks of the party, underlining the importance of resolving internal differences in a constructive and amicable manner.

The PDP, as a leading political force in Nigeria, remains dedicated to promoting democratic values and effective governance, and it is the hope of the NWC that this call for reconciliation will yield positive outcomes for the party and the people of Rivers State.
