The Kaduna State Police Command hereby notifies the general public of the commencement of a motorcycle retrieval initiative for vehicles seized or confiscated by the police during the COVID-19 lockdown period through the 2021 motorcycle disbandment initiative in Kaduna.
In an official statement issued by the Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mansir Hassan, owners who are certain that their motorcycles were seized within the aforementioned time frame are advised to visit the Operation Yaki office with all requisite documentation to facilitate the release of their property.
The retrieval process is scheduled to commence on the 20th of March 2024 and will span a duration of two weeks at the Operation Yaki office located on Constitution Road, Kaduna. It is imperative for affected individuals to furnish complete documentation of the vehicle prior to its release.
ASP Hassan emphasized that following the expiration of the two-week retrieval window, the police will no longer entertain complaints regarding seized motorcycles. Therefore, all concerned owners are urged to capitalize on this opportunity within the stipulated timeframe.
Furthermore, ASP Hassan encourages full cooperation from the public to ensure a seamless and efficient retrieval process.
