The Nigeria Police Force has condemned the conduct of armed officers seen in a viral video trailing actress Angela Okorie during a jogging scene, describing their behaviour as unprofessional and inconsistent with the standards expected of law enforcement personnel.
In a statement issued by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the police noted that while the incident appears to have occurred in the context of a film production, the behaviour of the officers involved has raised serious public concern and does not reflect the values or decorum required of members of the Force.
The police have commenced internal administrative procedures to identify the officers featured in the video and investigate the circumstances surrounding the footage. Disciplinary measures will be taken accordingly, based on the findings of the review.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, discipline, and maintaining public trust.
