President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Professor Usman, a distinguished scholar, holds qualifications from the prestigious University of Madinah and Peshawar University in Pakistan. He brings extensive experience in Hajj operations, having previously served as the Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Board, where he oversaw the country’s largest state pilgrim quota.
The appointment is pending Senate confirmation. The President has expressed confidence that Professor Usman will execute his responsibilities with integrity, transparency, and a strong commitment to the nation.
