Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, has resigned from his position with immediate effect to address urgent health issues within his immediate family.
In a letter submitted to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, Ngelale stated his need to take an indefinite leave of absence to manage the medical challenges affecting his nuclear family.
Ngelale expressed his deep regret over the decision, acknowledging the demands of his roles, which include serving as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen. He emphasized that the decision came after extensive consultations with his family, given the deteriorating health situation at home.
While expressing hope for a return to public service when circumstances allow, Ngelale requested privacy for his family during this challenging period.
