President Bola Tinubu has appointed Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) and Dr. Adedeji Ashiru as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA).
This was disclosed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Chief Ajuri Ngelale
Engr. Woke, an environmental specialist and politician, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering. He has extensive experience in the Environmental, Safety, and Operations Departments of the former Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Woke has also served as Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area and as Chief of Staff at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Dr. Ashiru, with a Doctorate in Engineering from Commonwealth University, UK, has led a consortium of blue-chip companies and achieved significant professional milestones.
President Tinubu expects both CEOs to utilize their expertise to drive sustainable gains and operational transparency in their respective agencies.
