Tinubu expresses grief over passing of Herbert Wigwe and Abimbola Ogunbanjo

President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow following the confirmed passing of Mr. Herbert Wigwe, Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, and Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, OFR, former Group Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, along with members of the Wigwe family.

Mr. Herbert Wigwe, CON, an esteemed figure in the banking and entrepreneurial spheres, was also the founder of the How Foundation.

In a statement issued today, President Tinubu conveyed his shock and deep distress at the tragic loss of these distinguished Nigerian business leaders. He described their passing as “an overwhelming tragedy that is shocking beyond comprehension.”

The President extended his heartfelt condolences to the Wigwe and Ogunbanjo families, as well as to the wider business community and all those affected by this distressing event.

President Tinubu offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and beseeched God Almighty to provide solace to the countless Nigerians in mourning, as well as to the grieving families during this profoundly agonizing period.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, serving as Special Adviser to the President for Media & Publicity, conveyed the President’s sentiments in the wake of this somber news.
