President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim as the prospective Minister of Youth, pending confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The announcement was made by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
President Tinubu has also granted his consent for the nomination of Mr. Ayodele Olawande to serve as the Minister of State for Youth, contingent upon confirmation by the Senate.
Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim is a young medical professional who has previously held the position of President at the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF). She also brings experience as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mr. Ayodele Olawande, on the other hand, is a seasoned community development expert and a prominent youth leader within the ruling All Progressives’ Congress (APC). His recent tenure included service in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.
President Tinubu has entrusted these nominees with the responsibility of upholding the dynamism, innovative spirit, and unwavering dedication that characterizes the youth of Nigeria as they fulfill their roles.
