Troops of Sector 2 of the Joint Task Force North West Operation Fansan Yamma On January 10, 2025 dismantled several terrorist hideouts in Fakai, Shinkafi Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
Confirming the report. Coordinator, Joint Media Coordination Centre, Operation Fansan Yamma Lieut. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi said supported by the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma, the offensive cleared camps associated with notorious terrorists Bello Turji and Mallam Ila.
Over 25 terrorists were neutralized, with more than 18 sustaining gunshot wounds, significantly disrupting their network.
Seven kidnapped victims managed to escape amid the operation. Operation Fansan Yamma remains committed to pursuing and neutralizing terrorist elements within its jurisdiction. The task force urges terrorist kingpins to surrender and renounce violence unconditionally, reaffirming its dedication to restoring peace and security in the region.
