Troops of the Joint Task Force, North East Operation HADIN KAI, have neutralized 10 Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a clearance operation in Manawaji, near the Cameroon border in Borno State.
The operation, which took place between Rann and Gamboru Ngala in the southern Lake Chad region, was part of an ongoing offensive to eliminate terrorist strongholds in the North East.
According to Army authorities, troops made contact with the terrorists during the raid and engaged them in a fierce gun battle, leading to the death of 10 insurgents. Intelligence reports indicate the neutralized fighters had been responsible for attacks and disruptions in the area.

A large stockpile of weapons was recovered, including anti-aircraft ammunition believed to have been stolen during a previous attack on Cameroonian Defence Forces.
Captain Reuben Kovangiya, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, stated that troops remain resolute in denying insurgents freedom of movement and are determined to sustain aggressive operations across the region.
The operation aligns with the directives of the Chief of Defence Staff to fully restore peace and security in the North East.
