In a swift and decisive operation, troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State have neutralized a terrorist in transit to unleash mayhem and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition.
Acting on credible intelligence, the troops tactically positioned themselves along the terrorists’ axis of movement. As the terrorists, traveling on motorbikes, emerged from Mallum Forest via an alternate route, the troops engaged them with a heavy volume of fire. One terrorist was neutralized, while others fled in disarray into the nearby forest, thwarting their mission and preventing a potential attack on innocent civilians.
Following the firefight, the troops conducted a thorough search of the area and recovered one AK-47 rifle, five AK-47 rifle magazines, 18 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 19 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, two motorbikes, one Techno phone, head warmers, face masks, and a magazine jacket.

To maintain security and prevent further threats, the troops have intensified their presence in the general area. This successful operation underscores the commitment of the security forces to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens in Kaduna State.
The public is urged to continue supporting the troops in their ongoing operations to collectively mitigate security challenges.
