In a surprising and swift move today, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON, has terminated the appointments of top officials from various parastatals, agencies, and government companies operating under the FCTA (Federal Capital Territory Administration).
In an official statement released by the Director of the Press Office of the Minister, Anthony Ogunleye, the following individuals have been relieved of their positions with immediate effect:

- MD, Abuja Enterprise Agency.
- GM, FCT Water Board.
- DG, FCT Emergency Management Agency.
- Executive Secretary, FCT Primary Healthcare Board.
- Director-General, Hospital Management Board.
- Director, Abuja Environmental Protection Board.
- Director, FCT Scholarship Board.
- Director, FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.
- Director, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
- Coordinator, Abuja Infrastructure Investment Center.
- Director, FCT Health Insurance Scheme.

- Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council.
The Minister’s decision, which sent shockwaves through the FCT administrative apparatus, came without prior warning and has left many speculating about the reasons behind the mass removal. Anthony Ogunleye, in his statement, instructed the affected individuals to immediately hand over the responsibilities of their respective offices to the most senior officers within their ranks.
