In a significant move to enhance security in Abuja, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command has promoted 544 officers.
The promotion ceremony, held at the FCT NSCDC Headquarters, saw Commandant Dr. Olusola Odumosu commend the officers, emphasizing that the new ranks reflect the officers’ performance and mark a call to higher responsibility.
Dr. Odumosu stressed the importance of professionalism, urging the promoted officers to strengthen their commitment to safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.
He noted that this promotion, initiated by Commandant General Dr. Abubakar Audi, acknowledges the officers’ dedication and underscores the critical role of the NSCDC in securing vital installations across Abuja.
Among the promoted was Samuel Idoko, Command Public Relations Officer, now an Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC). The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including representatives from the Nigerian Army, Air Force, Department of State Services, and Federal Fire Service.
Traditional leaders such as the Etsu of Kwali, Ayode Luka Nizassan III, and Hon. Hassan Danagna Mabushi, District Head of Mabushi, were also present to honor the newly promoted officers.
