NACIWA, EFCC set to host 6th annual general assembly on August 19

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Network of Anti-Corruption Institutions in West Africa (NACIWA) will jointly hold their sixth Annual General Assembly (AGA) from Monday, August 19 to Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the ECOWAS Secretariat in Asokoro, Abuja.

This year’s AGA, themed “Implementing the ECOWAS Protocol on the Fight Against Corruption Towards Strengthening Institutions for Regional Unity,” aims to enhance the implementation of the ECOWAS anti-corruption protocol and foster stronger collaboration among regional anti-corruption bodies.

The event will also serve as a platform for dialogue, sharing of best practices, and reinforcing collective efforts in combating corruption across West Africa.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honor, while the Executive Chairman of the EFCC and President of NACIWA, Ola Olukoyede, will act as the Chief Host.

Founded in 2010, NACIWA is dedicated to promoting coordination and cooperation among anti-corruption institutions within the West African region.
