The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has affirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing the recent security breach in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to Media Information Officer, Operation SAFE HAVEN Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, speaking on April 6, 2025, during an operational visit to the Headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN in Jos, Mallam Ribadu stated that his visit followed a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure the restoration of peace in the affected communities.
He commended the swift response of security agencies in curbing the attacks and emphasized the government’s resolve to bring all perpetrators to justice. “All suspects arrested in connection to these attacks will be prosecuted. The Federal Government is determined to sustain improvements in the security architecture for continued operational success,” Ribadu said.
The NSA urged Plateau residents to embrace peace and coexist harmoniously, while also appealing to the media to exercise diligence and responsibility when reporting sensitive security matters.
Earlier, the NSA was briefed on the current security situation by the General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General Folusho Oyinlola.
