In celebration of Children’s Day 2025, Hope Everyday Foundation (H.E.F.), a medical NGO based in Kuje, Abuja, brought healthcare and joy to vulnerable children at Al Ansar Children’s Home.
The outreach, held in the Hajiya Zara neighborhood of Kuje Area Council, featured free medical services, health education, and the donation of welfare materials. A team of 34 volunteers — including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, microbiologists, and support staff — participated in the day-long event.
H.E.F. Executive Director, Dr. Nkechi Akinwale, presented essential supplies such as rice, beans, milk, eggs, cereals, diapers, and hygiene products. The highlight of the donation was a fully stocked first aid box, the first ever received by the orphanage.
“Each of you is special to God Almighty. We are here to let you feel that love and care,” Dr. Akinwale told the children.
Interactive health education sessions were delivered through drama, songs, and games. Children received party packs filled with school supplies and snacks, while orphanage staff benefited from free medical check-ups, lab tests, and consultations with on-site doctors.
Expressing gratitude, the orphanage coordinator, Ustaz Yunus, described the donation as historic, particularly the first aid box. Assistant Head, Rukkayat Muhammad, added, “H.E.F really shocked me today.”
The event reflects H.E.F.’s continued commitment to uplifting vulnerable children through health and hope.
