In a decisive operation on 5 and 6 June 2025, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) under Operation HADIN KAI launched precision airstrikes against Boko Haram hideouts in Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia, Southern Tumbuns, Borno State.
This was confirmed in a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters.
Ejodame said acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft targeted structures used by the terrorists for storage and coordination of attacks, delivering direct hits that neutralised several insurgents and destroyed key logistics facilities.
He said the strikes, timed to preempt attacks aimed at disrupting Eid celebrations, highlight the NAF’s resolve to protect civilian lives and support national security objectives.
