NAF airstrikes kill 25 terrorists in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, has neutralised more than 25 terrorists during a coordinated night operation in the Bula Yobe–Banki axis of Borno State.

According to NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation took place on 18 September 2025 following intelligence reports from ground troops. A combination of Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) assets and strike aircraft were deployed to track and engage terrorist movements north of Banki.

In three successive precision strikes, the terrorists were targeted along their movement routes and assembly areas, resulting in significant casualties. Post-strike surveillance confirmed no immediate threats to ground forces in the area.

NAF said the operation underscores its commitment to supporting ground troops, denying terrorists freedom of action, and enhancing security in Nigeria’s North-East.
