PAP sends 161 scholars abroad, Otuaro canvasses support for Tinubu’s 2027 bid

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has deployed 161 beneficiaries to universities in the United Kingdom for postgraduate studies under its 2025/2026 foreign scholarship scheme.

Administrator of the PAP, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, disclosed this in Abuja while commending President Bola Tinubu for what he described as unwavering support for the initiative. He said the large number of beneficiaries was made possible through the President’s generosity and commitment to closing the human capacity gap in the Niger Delta.

Otuaro also thanked the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for providing valuable guidance in the execution of the programme.

“The President has graciously supported the Presidential Amnesty Programme as we deploy foreign scholarship beneficiaries. But for his magnanimity, it would not have been possible to send 161 beneficiaries to the U.K. The number is huge and aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Otuaro said.

He urged stakeholders in the Niger Delta to reciprocate the President’s goodwill by supporting his re-election bid in 2027, noting that Tinubu had demonstrated genuine commitment to the region’s growth and development.

The PAP boss advised beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity by completing their studies and returning to contribute to the socio-economic advancement of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
