Amnesty International Nigeria has continued its nationwide human rights education campaign for schools with an outreach programme in Dutse, Jigawa State, aimed at empowering young people with knowledge of human rights principles and values.
During a sensitisation session held at Gateway International School, facilitators engaged students on issues relating to child rights, prevention of gender-based violence and the need to eliminate bullying within school environments.

The programme also featured discussions on mechanisms for reporting bullying and other forms of abuse, as part of efforts to promote safer and more inclusive learning spaces for students.
According to Amnesty International Nigeria, the ongoing human rights education initiative is designed to foster school communities built on equality, dignity and mutual respect, where human rights are not only taught but also practiced and promoted at all levels of school life and beyond.
The organisation said the campaign forms part of its broader commitment to strengthening human rights awareness among young people across the country.
