President Bola Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, embark on a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, featuring the commissioning of major infrastructure projects and participation in an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will begin the visit in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he will commission several projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.
Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.
Others include the Airport-Okopedi Road, covering parts of Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, which links Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
The President will also commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.
Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to welcome the President.
On Saturday, Tinubu will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to participate in an APC rally.
The rally will be his third since he flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The statement said the visits would also provide the President with opportunities to engage political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while promoting unity, political stability and a shared commitment to national development.
