Alleged 30m Extortion By STS Operatives: Police arrest erring officers, accomplices including POS operator, continue trials

In alignment with our steadfast commitment to combat corruption and uphold integrity, we wish to provide the public with an update on a reported incident involving armed robbery, abduction, and extortion allegedly perpetrated by certain members of the police force against Omoh Oshoke, a resident of Abuja.

In an official statement released on Sunday, March 10, 2024, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer of the Force Headquarters in Abuja, disclosed that three individuals identified as Inspectors Francis Ahuean, Semiu Agbaakin, and Osagie Efford, all assigned to the FID-STS, have been apprehended, thoroughly investigated, and are presently undergoing legal proceedings.

Adejobi further announced the arrest and ongoing investigation of accomplices, including Elizabeth Amos Busayo, the operator of a Point of Sale (POS) system, and Thomas Michael, who served as an informant for the implicated police officers.

Assuring the public of the steadfast pursuit of justice in this matter, Adejobi emphasized the importance of all officers adhering to the dictates of the law in carrying out their duties.
