Amnesty International has condemned the harassment and intimidation of Alhaji Sani Dododo, an opposition figure in Kebbi State. Following an interview with Equity FM on 10 April 2025, Alhaji Sani has reportedly faced unlawful restrictions through the misuse of security agencies.
According to Amnesty International, Alhaji Sani has every right to criticize the Kebbi State government. “People in Kebbi State and beyond have the right to freely express their views and scrutinize those in power without fear or unlawful interference,” the organization said.
The international human rights group has called on security agencies in Kebbi State to immediately cease their harassment of Alhaji Sani Dododo, emphasizing that the legitimate duty of law enforcement is to protect, not suppress, the right to freedom of expression.
