The Biu Forum has commended Hon. Muktar Betara, Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for his sustained contributions to the development of Biu/Bayo/Shani/Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency in Borno State.
During a courtesy visit to the lawmaker’s office in Abuja, Chairman of the Forum, Mustapha Muhammed, praised Betara’s commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and effective representation since his election to the House of Representatives in 2007.
“We are here to pray for his continued good health and express our appreciation for the many impactful projects he has executed in our constituency. His efforts in infrastructure, empowerment, and advocacy have made a real difference at the community level,” Muhammed said.
The Forum described Betara as a “blessing” to the region and expressed hope that he would attain higher leadership positions in the country, noting that such a development would benefit not only his constituency but Nigeria at large.
Speaking on national affairs, the Forum Chairman also commended Betara’s working relationship with the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, describing their collaboration as cordial and productive, especially in advancing development in the capital city.
In his remarks, Hon. Betara expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to remain steadfast in his commitment to public service.
“I will not relent in delivering the dividends of democracy to my people. This is my life’s purpose—to serve and give back to my people and the nation,” he said.
