Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has congratulated Dr. Anne-Marie Imafidon, MBE, on her appointment as Chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University, UK.
In her congratulatory message, Dabiri-Erewa praised Imafidon’s appointment as well-deserved, citing her impressive track record and relentless pursuit of success. She highlighted that Nigeria is proud of Imafidon’s remarkable achievements, which have set new standards and earned her this prestigious role to continue serving humanity.

Dabiri-Erewa also acknowledged receiving an invitation to attend the Chancellor’s installation on July 2 as a special guest, an honor extended by Imafidon. She expressed her hopes for Imafidon’s successful and impactful tenure and encouraged her to remain a trailblazer, inspiring others to excel in their endeavors.

Dr. Anne-Marie Imafidon has made history as the youngest Chancellor of a major university in the UK. Her journey began with her siblings through the ExcellenceInEducation.org.uk mentorship program, which supports inner-city youth. She gained global recognition as the youngest person to achieve A-Level qualifications in computing and mathematics and earned a scholarship to Johns Hopkins University in the USA at the age of 13.
