The Defence Headquarters has deemed it necessary to address a regrettable publication disseminated by an online news outlet, asserting the demise of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, purportedly occurring yesterday.
In an official statement Director, Defence Information Brigadier General Tukur Gusau said the report unfortunate and lacking in ethical standards, with a conspicuous absence of credibility.
He affirmed that General CG Musa is not only alive but also in robust health. Following his return from an official assignment abroad, the Chief of Defence Staff has resumed his duties with heightened vigor, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his distinctive leadership style aimed at advancing the interests of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
In response to the erroneous report, the aforementioned online newspaper has promptly retracted the story and issued an unequivocal apology to General Musa, his family, and the entire Armed Forces of Nigeria.
