President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, has congratulated the Republic of Benin on the occasion of its 66th Independence Anniversary, reaffirming the regional bloc’s commitment to unity, integration and shared prosperity across West Africa.
In a goodwill message widely viewed as one of his final symbolic engagements ahead of the completion of his tenure, Dr. Touray commended the government and people of Benin for their enduring commitment to regional cooperation, describing the country as a key pillar of democratic governance and integration within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
